This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all scheduling, communication, and logistics related to the imprint's publications.
• Collaborate with various departments, particularly production, interior design, production editorial, and art, in addition to publicity, marketing, inventory, sales, and operations.
• Work closely with editorial teams on manuscript timelines.
• Gather, input, and manage metadata, including ISBNs, categories, specifications, pricing, on-sale dates, and more in SAP.
• Develop and uphold the critical path for monthly subscription offerings.
• Oversee the release of metadata to online retailers and catalogs in partnership with the sales-marketing and metadata teams.
• Provide regular reports (weekly, monthly, seasonally).
• Execute additional related projects or responsibilities as assigned by the division.
• Facilitate status meetings and other relevant discussions.
• Send manuscripts and other materials to production editorial when necessary.
• Review covers and copyright pages, ensuring accuracy of barcodes.
• At least 5 years of experience in magazine or book publishing is required, ideally in a Managing Editorial role.
• A strong understanding of Bible scripture is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with excellent organizational skills.
• Comfortable leading large group meetings.
• Outstanding ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented environment; excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing schedules and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively to address challenges, follow up on demanding deadlines, take initiative, and creatively solve problems (while assisting others in doing the same).
• A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills; a team player capable of fostering relationships across departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style.
• Experience with FileMaker Pro, Lytho, Asana, and SAP is a plus.
