This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a reliable strategic and daily advisor to directors, managing directors, and selected senior leaders.
• Provide counsel on talent management, team efficiency, staff development, employee experience, organizational design, workforce planning, and team structures.
• Establish trusted relationships, comprehend team dynamics, pinpoint opportunities, and proactively meet talent requirements.
• Guide managers through hiring processes, onboarding, performance development, performance enhancement, change management, and compensation cycles.
• Lead leadership development sessions and learning experiences in collaboration with People Team partners.
• Connect designated client groups with suitable People resources and expertise.
• Support leaders in navigating performance issues, employee relations challenges, workplace difficulties, tough conversations, and policy interpretation.
• Collaborate with Employee Relations colleagues to escalate and resolve intricate or sensitive issues.
• Provide insights from client groups to talent programs, policies, and systems.
• Execute performance development, onboarding, annual talent, and manager enablement initiatives.
• Collect feedback, identify trends, and propose ongoing improvements.
• Analyze engagement, retention, promotions, and exit data to guide talent-related decisions.
• Assist with special projects and cross-functional People Team initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across the People Team to deliver consistent, high-quality support to staff and leaders.
• 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in Business Partnering, HR Consulting, Organizational Development, or HR Generalist roles.
• Proven experience collaborating with people leaders to address talent and organizational challenges.
• Familiarity with employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
• Capability to build trust and credibility with leaders across various levels.
• Strong judgment and comfort in managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and organizational changes.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting challenging deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building competencies.
• Commitment to Teach For America’s mission, core values, and principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Experience in managing or mentoring others is preferred.
• SHRM, PHR, or HCM certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is preferred.
• Strong facilitation and coaching abilities are preferred.
• Project management and process improvement skills are preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capability to utilize data for informed talent decisions are preferred.
• Solutions-oriented mindset, sound judgment, integrity, and a high sense of ownership are preferred.
