This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide leadership and supervision for all client teams within the Advisory business unit, ensuring that projects are delivered with high quality, within scope, and on budget.
• Act as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges, client issues, and staffing disputes across the unit's projects.
• Collaborate with Program Directors and client managers to assess engagement health, manage risks, and uphold strong client satisfaction levels.
• Ensure uniform delivery standards and compliance with Consertus' best practices across all client teams.
• Take charge of day-to-day hiring for the business unit: oversee the assessment, recruitment, and onboarding of personnel to create teams capable of executing the plan.
• Manage the performance, professional development, and well-being of the unit's personnel, establishing clear expectations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Plan and oversee staffing, utilization, and full-time equivalent (FTE) projections for both current projects and future work, coordinating with leadership and HR.
• Cultivate emerging leaders and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in alignment with Consertus values.
• Oversee the daily profit and loss (P&L) for the business unit — monitoring revenue, utilization, margin, and costs against the budget — in collaboration with the Business Unit Lead, who retains ultimate responsibility.
• Track financial performance, manage forecasts, and proactively identify and address variances to safeguard and enhance margin.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and financial reporting in cooperation with project accounting.
• Guarantee that required reports are submitted promptly and keep the Business Unit Lead updated on performance, risks, and resource needs.
• Serve as a trusted deputy, stepping in for the Business Unit Lead on operational decisions and in their absence.
• Translate the unit's strategy and growth objectives into daily execution across teams and projects.
• Facilitate pursuits and growth by ensuring delivery capacity and staffing are aligned with secured work and future pipeline.
• Assist the Business Unit Lead as necessary on growth initiatives, key clients, and overall P&L management by overseeing the daily operations of the unit, while also being a seller-doer in identifying new opportunities.
• Extensive experience in capital program management, advisory, consulting, or a related professional services sector, including team management and client delivery, with a strong focus on public sector clients.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing people and hiring, with the ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
• Strong operational and financial expertise, including knowledge of P&L management, utilization, and project economics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing multiple client teams and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Salesforce, and Vantagepoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications are advantageous.
