
Managing Consultant – Life Sciences Advisory – Market Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Develop and execute pricing and access strategies for pharmaceutical products.
• Organize and oversee project teams carrying out qualitative and quantitative pharmaceutical market access and pricing strategy initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior staff to create project proposals.
• Supervise consulting teams in formulating and presenting deliverables to clients.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, research, and analytics.
• Design and facilitate primary interviews with payers and key opinion leaders.
• Develop Excel-based financial models to assess price-access scenarios and gross-to-net calculations.
• Create economic analyses relevant to various care settings and financial ecosystems.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
• Mentor and train junior consulting team members.
• Advance toward the role of Associate Director through effective project management, workstream oversight, professional growth, client engagement, and business development.
• Bachelor's degree; preferred fields of study include science, biomedical engineering, business, or healthcare policy.
• Over 4 years of consulting or relevant business experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, health economics, forecasting, and/or pipeline strategy.
• 1–2 years of direct experience in client management and content delivery roles.
• Strong project management capabilities, initiative, resourcefulness, leadership skills, and a strategic, creative mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, encompassing drug development and market launch processes.
• Experience in developing, designing, and implementing both qualitative and quantitative market research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Preferred: familiarity with pricing methodologies such as analog assessment, Van Westendorp, Gabor Granger, and Conjoint analysis.
• Preferred: advanced degree in business or a health-related field (MBA, MPH, MS, or PhD).
• Proven track record of thought leadership (written or speaking engagements).
• Comfort in engaging with and presenting to executive-level audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in training and developing junior consulting staff.
• Knowledge of U.S. government policies and pricing reforms.
• Extensive experience with Part A/hospital inpatient pricing and reimbursement, Part B/medical benefit pricing, Part D/contracting, and gross-to-net calculations.
