
Manager, Workday Reporting – Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Design, develop, and sustain sophisticated Workday reports and intricate calculated fields across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent, and Payroll.
• Create reporting solutions that adhere to Workday domain, role-based, and user-based security protocols.
• Construct and oversee dashboards and discovery boards for self-service HR analytics.
• Report defects, performance issues, and complex data interpretation queries.
• Assess new reporting features with each biannual Workday update.
• Design and maintain custom reports to serve as data sources for outbound integrations, including RaaS reports.
• Develop integration audits, reconciliations, and error reporting mechanisms.
• Collaborate with HR Technology on EIB, Core Connector, Studio, and Orchestrate reporting specifications.
• Validate report-based integration outputs during testing phases and biannual releases.
• Lead reporting initiative lifecycles from the intake phase and requirements gathering through deployment and documentation.
• Convert vague HR stakeholder requests into clear technical requirements.
• Balance competing priorities and communicate status updates, risks, and trade-offs effectively.
• Prepare report specifications, data dictionaries, test plans, and end-user manuals.
• Collaborate with HR Data & Analytics teams on Power BI analytics and data infrastructure development.
• Work alongside HR Technology on configuration modifications, integrations, and platform improvements.
• Mentor report writers and analysts while contributing to reporting standards and best practices.
• Provide guidance on data quality, governance, and readiness for audits.
• Identify avenues to enhance analytics using Prism Analytics or Power BI.
• Assist in fostering the adoption of Workday AI and machine learning capabilities, including Workday Illuminate and AI-assisted reporting and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in HRIS, HR reporting, or HR data analytics.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in Workday report development.
• Strong expertise in Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Calculated Fields, and Custom Report Data Sources.
• Workday Pro certification in Reporting is required.
• Experience in developing report-based integration outputs, such as RaaS, is necessary.
• Understanding of the Workday HCM data model, business processes, and security architecture.
• Proven experience managing reporting projects from start to finish.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and FTI offices as required.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Additional Workday Pro certifications in HCM or related functional areas are preferred.
• Familiarity with BIRT, Workday Prism Analytics, Adaptive Planning, or Workday Extend is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including report creation, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling is preferred.
• Knowledge of EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, and Orchestrate is a plus.
• Experience in supporting Workday implementations or optimizing post-go-live processes is preferred.
• A keen interest in utilizing AI for HR reporting and analytics.
• Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences and establish trustworthy relationships with HR stakeholders.
