This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Assist in advocacy initiatives with commercial and governmental payers for a specified region or designated payers regarding the coverage and payment sufficiency of LivaNova-related procedures and technologies.
• Promote favorable coverage policies for LivaNova products and procedures with both commercial and governmental payers.
• Advocate and lobby state Medicaid agencies and legislative bodies for appropriate procedure payments.
• Gather and summarize existing clinical and economic data to reinforce product positioning.
• Aid in the creation of tools and messaging to promote comprehensive coverage and sufficient payment rates; including dossiers, budget impact models, reimbursement guides, and more.
• Collaborate closely with U.S. commercial colleagues in sales and marketing.
• Convey evidence requirements and the reimbursement landscape to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor, analyze, and influence healthcare policy to ensure the policy environment fosters medical innovation.
• Provide training and educational programs on reimbursement best practices and health policy matters to internal stakeholders, as well as training for the sales force, physicians, office administrators, and hospital staff.
• Cultivate relationships with professional societies, medical associations, advocacy groups, thought leaders, and trade organizations to promote comprehensive coverage and adequate payment for LivaNova products and procedures.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• An advanced degree in health policy, public health, health economics, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience advocating for enhanced coverage and/or increased payment rates with U.S. commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• A solid understanding of the reimbursement landscape to assist customers in navigating coding and coverage, ensuring access to LivaNova technologies.
• Strong comprehension of the payer market, policy developments, and their implications for business.
• Experience in communicating reimbursement, billing, and coding information to external stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams.
• Must be self-motivated, passionate, and possess exceptional communication skills to facilitate collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
