This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the entire recruitment process for corporate and settlement positions by developing sourcing strategies that attract a diverse candidate pool across Canada, ensuring that every applicant has a meaningful and respectful hiring experience.
• Establish connections with candidates through partnerships, community networks, and targeted outreach efforts.
• Oversee Castlemain's referral program by monitoring referrals and guaranteeing that referred candidates receive a timely and respectful experience throughout the hiring process.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers on role definition, job descriptions, interview procedures, and selection decisions, assisting them in candidate evaluations and offering guidance on compensation ranges to facilitate informed hiring choices.
• Maintain ongoing communication during the recruitment process, keeping managers updated and regularly checking in to ensure recruitment efforts align with their most urgent priorities.
• Apply a culturally safe and equitable perspective at every stage of recruitment by fostering relationships with Indigenous post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and partner networks to ensure that job postings and selection processes are inclusive and welcoming.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Talent Acquisition function, including recruitment policies, procedures, and tools such as interview guides, reference checks, and offer letter processes.
• Coordinate background and reference checks in collaboration with the People Team.
• Monitor recruitment activities and provide regular updates on candidate status.
• A minimum of five years of experience in recruitment within a high-volume environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or an equivalent educational background.
• Capability to manage multiple open positions concurrently across various functions and regions.
• A culturally safe, trauma-informed approach to engaging candidates and stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience in recruiting within Indigenous and community-based organizations is a strong advantage.
