This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Act as the lead for subcontracting in the creation of supplier RFPs, negotiations, subcontract agreements, execution, and daily management.
• Ensure that suppliers comply with prime contract terms, FAR/DFARS flow-downs, and company policies.
• Oversee subcontract scope, funding, delivery timelines, changes, and modifications.
• Assess supplier proposals for completeness, accuracy, compliance, and alignment with prime contract requirements.
• Facilitate resolution of subcontract-related issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders, escalating concerns only when necessary.
• Assist in fact-finding, price/cost analysis activities, and negotiations with suppliers.
• Prepare statements of work, amendments, change orders, and other relevant subcontract documents.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Program Counsel.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding subcontract requirements, flow-downs, and interpretation of terms.
• Provide leadership and expertise in crafting innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in subcontract or contract management; OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of subcontract or contract management experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, including requirements related to government subcontracting.
• Experience in preparing, evaluating, and negotiating supplier proposals.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of aerospace business and legal issues.
• Familiarity with CORE process improvement tools.
