
Manager, Stakeholder Relations – Diabetes Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and implement market access strategies that support the business goals of the Diabetes Division across Canada.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with public payers, government entities, HTA organizations, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), patient advocacy groups, and other key influencers.
• Collaborate with teams from commercial, medical, marketing, and global market access sectors.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate reimbursement, HTA, market access, and health policy changes throughout Canada.
• Act as the Diabetes Division's authority on Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
• Create innovative value propositions and funding strategies that highlight the clinical, economic, and systemic benefits of ADC products.
• Drive strategic planning and stakeholder engagement initiatives that align with the organization's priorities and the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, HTA, Clinical Epidemiology, Health Economics, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success in stakeholder relations, government relations, public affairs, or external affairs within the healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of public policy, HTA, and regulatory frameworks.
• Critical experience in engaging with government policymakers and advocacy organizations.
• Proven ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders.
• Capacity to thrive under pressure and respond swiftly; demonstrated success in dynamic environments where urgent matters and shifting priorities are commonplace.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities: proven success in developing high-quality presentations, creating clear messages, and effectively communicating with both external and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Experience in project management and overseeing resources: skilled in managing external agencies or consultants, budgets, and multi-stakeholder projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry: familiarity with the healthcare ecosystem at national or provincial levels, particularly in relation to payers, healthcare providers, reimbursement, and market access frameworks.
• Demonstrated proactive work ethic: highly motivated self-starter with a track record in roles requiring a high degree of initiative, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with organizational goals without needing prompting.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~25%+).
