This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead two teams focused on UI engineering.
• Oversee team workloads, resource allocation for the feature roadmap, and coordination in a dynamic, widely distributed environment.
• Keep track of product roadmap goals and communicate this information back to other managers and team members.
• Engage in team activities, such as roadmap planning, to prioritize features based on available resources and necessary business objectives.
• Promote the wellbeing of team members by offering support and guidance primarily centered on resource management, technical development, and soft skills enhancement.
• Collect feedback from peers, provide weekly coaching, and collaborate with senior and staff engineers to enhance the skill sets of team members.
• Lead and coordinate the recruitment process from the initial outreach to the job offer stage.
• Manage the engineering tools budget and oversee renewals in collaboration with procurement and finance teams.
• Facilitate mentorship focused on technical advancement and guide UI engineers in their career paths.
• Enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems and managing high-priority tasks across a diverse range of customer requests.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, tracking, delivering, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven experience in directly managing, mentoring, and supporting individuals and teams with empathy and professionalism.
• A strong engineering background with a focus on front-end development and technologies (JS/TS/CSS/HTML), modern frameworks, and maintaining UI quality along with best practices in UI engineering.
• Experience operating a service at scale, including observability and reporting on engineering metrics.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Knowledge of Accessibility (a11y) best practices, tools, and techniques, including compatibility with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG guidelines.
• Experience with internationalization (i18n) and atomic design principles.
• Capability to present business cases and proposals to Flexera’s senior leadership team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A solid understanding of Cloud Technologies, big data, and SaaS products.
