Manager, Software Engineering – Loans Lifecycle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the technical strategy for the team over a one-year period.

• Align team strategies with significant projects that impact the business.

• Work in tandem with product management, design, and analytics during the entire product development lifecycle.

• Define and promote technical solutions and operational processes.

• Manage team operations and availability, which includes monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting.

• Set standards for code reviews and design.

• Promote engineering standards through written documentation and technical presentations.

• Foster talent development through constructive feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems.

• At least 2 years of experience in managing a software development team.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Kotlin.

• Extensive experience in developing highly available distributed systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.

• Background in financial systems, ledgering, treasury, or related fields where data accuracy and system reliability are paramount.

• Experience in leading high-performance teams, mentoring engineers, and aligning different stakeholders.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
