This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver vision, mentorship, and strategic leadership for a diverse engineering team focused on developing and maintaining secure open source libraries at scale.
• Direct the technical trajectory and product strategy across various language ecosystems, dependency management, security enhancements, tooling, automation, and services.
• Establish and manage policies, quality benchmarks, and continuous improvement while balancing security, performance, stability, and customer value.
• Take ownership of development-artifact-specific comparator gates, LLM-based judge rubrics, language-specific build systems, and AI automation initiatives.
• Guide improvements in build and testing infrastructure to ensure reproducible, auditable, and reliable library releases.
• Supervise vulnerability detection, patching, SBOM, and provenance generation across library ecosystems.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to guarantee interoperability and a consistent security posture.
• Represent Chainguard Libraries to external partners and community maintainers, promoting adoption and awareness.
• Demonstrated success in managing and scaling technical teams.
• Experience in building or maintaining platforms at a large scale.
• Background in managing teams that deploy agentic AI into production.
• Proficiency in delivering agentic tools and designing evaluation frameworks and LLM-judge rubrics.
• Experience in curating agent knowledge, including skills, prompts, and fixtures.
• Proven ability to enhance automation behind measurable quality gates.
• Strong understanding of language ecosystems such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, and .NET.
• Familiarity with build systems, dependency management, release management, and vulnerability management.
• Experience leading teams focused on cloud-native technologies and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud services including GCP and AWS.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code practices such as Terraform.
