Manager, Software Engineering – Fintech New Bets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the New Bets team within the Fintech sector

• Assist the team in stabilizing our bookkeeping product following its launch

• Develop robust AI-augmented development methodologies

• Create an environment that allows the team to operate with significant autonomy in product, design, and engineering choices

• Define the technical trajectory of our platform, ensuring dependability and high performance as Jobber expands

• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the organization

• Engage in recruitment events and contribute to the hiring process

• Provide support to team members in enhancing their skills and progressing in their careers

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven success as a software engineer with experience in a leadership role, guiding a team to deliver high-quality software.

• Strong full-stack technical expertise, including design and architectural knowledge. Extensive experience in either Ruby on Rails environments or ReactJS is crucial.

• A commitment to achieving success and delivering impactful projects within deadlines.

• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, agile environment.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to lead and mentor others.
