This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversees the successful achievement of sprint and quarterly objectives.
• Provides clarity for the team regarding sprint, team, and career goals.
• Addresses nearly all challenges that arise within the team.
• Proactively communicates issues along with suggested solutions.
• Actively identifies and removes bottlenecks and roadblocks for the team.
• Facilitates learning from setbacks (such as failures to deliver or meet quality standards).
• Takes the lead in resolving any production incidents related to the services managed by the team.
• Ensures adherence to all agreed-upon engineering best practices and established processes.
• Promotes enhancements to the delivery process.
• Assists the Product Owner in creating specifications and defining feature scopes.
• Advocates for addressing technical debt and advancing the technical roadmap.
• Drives and oversees technical excellence within the team.
• Understands (and accommodates to some extent) the individual needs of each team member.
• Maintains team morale and motivation.
• Leads recruitment efforts and recommends headcount needs for the team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in a software delivery environment, either in a senior development or managerial role.
• Proven history of implementing software engineering practices and the software development lifecycle to deliver features.
• Demonstrated experience using Jira and Confluence to manage software delivery successfully.
• Capable of engaging and contributing to high-level technical discussions.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Strong attention to detail, with the capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in dynamic situations.
• Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects.
• Experience in reviewing business requirements and translating them into delivery plans.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders, facilitate team or other defined scope meetings, and exhibit strong listening and interpersonal skills with a commitment to continuous self-improvement and a positive attitude.
• Established history of mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their performance.
• Comfortable managing team members with varying skill sets from their own.
