This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, recruit, mentor, and nurture software engineers through performance management, guidance, and career advancement.
• Formulate and implement the engineering roadmap for the team while balancing business objectives, delivery timelines, platform reliability, technical debt, and operational excellence.
• Direct the architectural vision and technical decision-making for shared services and platform functionalities.
• Set engineering standards, development methodologies, and operational processes to enhance scalability, reliability, maintainability, delivery efficiency, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and various Engineering teams to provide dependable platform capabilities and shared services.
• Work alongside engineering leadership and cross-functional collaborators on long-term platform strategies, roadmap guidance, and technical priorities.
• Steer technical decisions related to APIs, integrations, shared services, cloud platforms, and modern application architectures.
• Promote the responsible application of AI-assisted development throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure appropriate management, operational, and technical security measures are in place while adhering to GoodRx security policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, hiring, retaining, and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed software engineering teams.
• Proficient in designing, building, and managing highly available cloud-native applications, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and platform services.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, GraphQL, React, and Next.js.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis/ElastiCache, document databases, CI/CD pipelines, API management, observability platforms, and cloud-native application architecture.
• Skilled in leveraging AI-assisted development tools and promoting responsible AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Proven track record of leading teams that deliver and enhance high-performance, large-scale distributed systems in modern cloud environments.
• Experience in leading Agile engineering teams and refining engineering processes, delivery methodologies, and team effectiveness.
• Capability to prioritize conflicting initiatives, manage delivery risks, and drive consistent execution.
• Strong organizational skills and adept project management abilities.
• Proficient in multitasking and thriving in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to simplify complex subjects for wider audiences.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to make decisions based on accurate and timely information.
• Background in healthcare and/or pharmacy is advantageous.
