📋 Description

• Spearhead the SEO/AEO Strategy and Roadmap: Establish and guide Veeam's global SEO, AEO, and AI search strategy — converting business objectives into quantifiable organic discovery initiatives across various markets, personas, product categories, and purchasing stages; assist in developing a roadmap that encompasses technical SEO, content optimization, AI answer visibility, entity authority, competitive share of voice, and ongoing performance; collaborate with leadership to implement how SEO/AEO enhances launches, campaigns, thought leadership, and web experiences.

• Lead the Team and Oversee Execution: Supervise, mentor, and nurture the SEO/AEO team — establishing priorities, delegating responsibilities, managing workload, and clarifying roles and decision-making processes. Develop repeatable frameworks and governance structures for keyword strategy, prompt tracking, technical audits, content briefs, launch measurement, AI visibility reporting, and competitive analysis. Oversee agency and vendor partnerships for strategic output; elevate the standard of SEO/AEO practices across Veeam by educating stakeholders and integrating best practices into content, web, and campaign planning.

• Drive Technical SEO and Site Authority at Enterprise Scale: Own the technical SEO roadmap in collaboration with Web, IT, UX, Engineering, Analytics, and Digital — prioritizing projects that enhance crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, internal linking, information architecture, content discoverability, and conversion pathways. Ensure Veeam's web ecosystem is optimized for both traditional search engines and AI-driven retrieval systems. Simplify complex technical challenges into business implications and achieve cross-functional alignment for implementation.

• Establish Veeam's AI Search and Answer-Engine Discipline: Define how Veeam assesses and enhances visibility across AI search and answer engines — supporting prompt strategy and collaborating with Marketing Ops on AI visibility tracking, answer sentiment, citation analysis, competitive monitoring, and recommendation-rate assessment. Identify gaps where Veeam is absent, inaccurately represented, under-cited, or under-recommended in AI-generated responses; partner cross-functionally to reinforce the authority signals that AI systems depend upon. Ensure Veeam content is structured to be clear, extractable, evidence-based, and aligned with how enterprise buyers formulate inquiries.

• Link Organic Discovery to Business Impact: Establish and monitor KPIs related to rankings, organic traffic, engagement, conversions, AI answer visibility, LLM recommendation rate, competitive share of voice, branded/non-branded discovery, and launch performance. Create performance narratives that assist leadership in understanding successes, areas where Veeam is under-indexing, and where additional focus is warranted. Utilize data to influence content strategy, web priorities, campaign planning, and category narrative development.

• Influence Across the Organization: Serve as a strategic partner to Web, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, PR/Comms, Brand, Analytics, and regional teams — providing a clear perspective on evolving buyer behavior as search transitions from links to answers and recommendations. Educate stakeholders on the multifaceted nature of SEO/AEO as a discipline that encompasses technical, content, authority, and measurement aspects — rather than merely a publishing checklist. Represent SEO/AEO priorities in planning, launch readiness, QBRs, and executive and strategic business reviews.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7–9+ years of experience in SEO, technical SEO, organic growth, digital strategy, or search — with a minimum of 3 years in a management role, developing talent, establishing team priorities, and leading amidst uncertainty; experience in global B2B tech, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, or enterprise software is preferred.

• Strong technical SEO proficiency across crawlability, indexation, rendering, structured data, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, page speed, Core Web Vitals, international SEO, and enterprise CMS workflows.

• In-depth understanding of AEO, GEO, AI search visibility, LLM-driven discovery, AI Overviews, answer engines, citation analysis, prompt tracking, entity optimization, and structured content.

• Demonstrated capability in formulating SEO/AEO strategies that align with business outcomes, not simply traffic. Robust analytical skills and experience in creating dashboards, performance narratives, executive reports, and KPI frameworks — with hands-on expertise in seoClarity, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, AEM, Jira, and Confluence.

• Proficient in influencing senior stakeholders and translating technical intricacies into clear business recommendations; strong cross-functional leadership skills across content, web, product marketing, demand gen, PR, analytics, engineering, and agency partners.

• Experience in supporting global launches, enterprise campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and extensive web/content optimization projects.

• Strategic, analytical, and operational mindset — capable of linking overarching direction to everyday execution in a rapidly evolving environment where best practices are still developing.
