This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide and nurture a team of Sales Engineers through one-on-one meetings, deal coaching, and performance discussions.
• Establish standards for execution quality, client interaction, and internal collaboration.
• Offer constructive feedback on demonstrations, discovery calls, business cases, and other SE outputs.
• Develop personalized growth plans and onboard new team members with structured ramp-up strategies.
• Oversee pipeline coverage, preparation, and support during ongoing sales cycles.
• Assist in strategizing deals and positioning against competitors for complex or high-risk opportunities.
• Review demonstrations, RFP submissions, solution designs, and business cases prior to client presentation.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical inquiries, competitive challenges, and cross-functional issues.
• Organize SE assignments to ensure balanced workloads and match experience with opportunities.
• Keep track of pipeline activities, opportunity statuses, and SE workloads through CRM and other documentation.
• Communicate team capacity, deal risks, and performance trends to the Senior Manager or Director.
• Convey field insights, pinpoint tool or asset deficiencies, and engage in playbook and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Implementation, and Product Marketing teams.
• Exemplify Alkami’s values in both client and internal interactions.
• Proven ability to coach and develop individual contributors in a customer-facing technical sales setting.
• Strong grasp of enterprise SaaS pre-sales methodologies, solution design, and competitive positioning.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, digital banking, account opening, lending, or core system integrations.
• Capability to provide direct, specific feedback that enhances SE skill development during active deal situations.
• Experience in managing pipeline coverage and aligning team workloads with deal stages and revenue priorities.
• Proficient in Salesforce with strong documentation and follow-through practices.
• Effective collaboration across functions with Sales, Product, Implementation, and Marketing teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% based on team coverage requirements.
• Prior experience as a Sales Engineer at IC3 or IC4 level.
• Experience within the financial institution market, including banks and credit unions.
• Background in onboarding or mentoring junior SE team members.
• Familiarity with value-based selling or MEDDICC qualification frameworks.
• Must be eligible to work in the US for full-time employment.
