This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Learning Experience Designers and Content Developers, establishing clear objectives and growth plans for each team member.
• Create a comprehensive execution plan for learning experiences and content, ensuring that programs are engaging, scalable, and aligned with measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales leadership, enablement colleagues, and subject matter experts to convert skill and knowledge gaps into structured curricula and content.
• Set standards and best practices for instructional design, content development, and the use of learning technology within the team.
• Oversee the intake, prioritization, and delivery of learning and content requests, balancing speed with quality across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis and refine designs based on results and feedback from the field.
• Advocate for, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as we expand globally and establish new offices.
• 7+ years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, or sales enablement.
• 3+ years of experience managing an L&D or instructional design team, preferably in support of a sales or customer-facing enablement function.
• Demonstrated ability to create scalable learning programs and content for a sales or customer-facing organization.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in hiring, coaching, and developing individual contributors.
• Hands-on experience with Articulate, Absorb (LMS), Showpad (CMS), Jira (Project Management), Claude (AI-assisted content development), and knowledge management systems (KMS).
• Exceptional project management abilities, capable of handling multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the proficiency to convey complex sales and product concepts into clear, engaging learning content.
