Manager, Safety Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of data analysts, scientists, and researchers focused on investigating active threats, platform abuse vectors, and adversarial behaviors.

• Establish a strategic roadmap to prioritize and disrupt high-impact abuse operations through research, analysis, and live experimentation.

• Work in collaboration with the safety machine learning team to enhance models and identify threat signals for automated countermeasures.

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Legal, and Revenue teams to make safety-by-design decisions.

• Drive initiatives towards automated rule engines, machine learning models, and agent moderation tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management, leading technical teams, including engineers, data scientists, analysts, applied researchers, or similar roles.

• At least 4 years of experience in the Trust & Safety domain, dealing with issues such as fraud, spam, scams, account compromise, or other high-volume threats.

• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data investigation and pattern analysis.

• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, with a focus on measurement and experimentation.

• Capability to promote automation adoption within operations or incident response workflows.

• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; adept at simplifying complex technical topics for senior leadership.

• Experience utilizing LLMs or AI agents for incident response, investigation automation, or signal triage (preferred).

• Background in addressing scaled abuse on large social platforms, marketplaces, or high-volume consumer products (preferred).

• Knowledge in threat intelligence research, including internet infrastructure and attacker tools and techniques (preferred).

• Enthusiasm for Discord and/or gaming (preferred).

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
