Manager, RMS Quality – Small Animal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee quality systems and compliance functions for Small Animal operations

• Lead audits, inspections, investigations, and the implementation of corrective actions

• Evaluate quality performance and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, animal welfare, and company standards

• Collaborate cross-functionally to foster operational excellence and a culture of quality

• Guide staff development and provide insights on quality processes and best practices

• Assist in business growth initiatives, risk management efforts, and the integration of quality for new programs or operational changes

• Aid in the ongoing documentation and management of organizational risks and mitigation strategies

• Ensure all necessary licenses are secured for compliant operations and maintain accurate records and renewals

• Travel to international locations as necessary

• Execute additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred; equivalent experience may be considered

• Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or quality systems within life sciences, laboratory animal, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or related sectors

• Familiarity with animal welfare regulations, AAALAC standards, USDA requirements, and quality management systems

• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to multi-task and deliver quality analysis under tight deadlines

• Skilled in time management and resource planning

• Capable of performing duties with minimal supervision

• Willingness to initiate and implement self-development efforts

• Advanced capability to interact effectively with clients and regulatory personnel

• Ability to work efficiently across state/geographical boundaries

• Willingness to travel internationally 25% to 30%

• Availability for overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required
