This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee commodity marketing agreements and direct contracts involving secondary processors and end-markets.

• Monitor the flow of materials from preconditioning facilities to end-markets while addressing any arising issues.

• Supervise material composition and quality in collaboration with operations and audit teams.

• Calculate and verify facility yields and recovery performance metrics.

• Ensure precise reporting by service providers and reconcile volumes, revenues, and performance indicators.

• Facilitate communication between post-collection operations, marketing agents, finance, audit, and reporting teams.

• Tackle challenges related to processing, logistics, and material quality that impact marketability and revenue.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports detailing commodity market performance, partner performance, revenue per ton, yield trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Evaluate and assist in the development of new domestic and export end-markets.

• Aid in the execution of contracts, manage change orders, and optimize processing and marketing strategies.

• Identify and resolve operational, contractual, and market-related issues that influence system performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A post-secondary degree in business, supply chain, environmental management, or related fields is preferred.

• A combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commodity marketing, recycling markets, or materials trading is required.

• Direct familiarity with plastics, fiber, or metals markets is essential.

• Proven experience managing commercial contracts with processors, brokers, or end-markets.

• Background in tracking material flows, yields, and revenue performance within recycling or commodity supply chains.

• Strong knowledge of recycling commodity markets, pricing structures, and end-market requirements.

• Proficiency in data analysis, yield calculations, and performance reporting.

• Capability to manage operational challenges across various stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with operations, finance, audit, and reporting teams.

• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

• Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools are necessary.

• A valid driver’s license and comprehensive vehicle insurance are required.

• A solid understanding of AI concepts and the ability to effectively communicate and implement AI technologies is preferred.

• Familiarity with reporting systems and dashboards is considered an asset.
