This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide guidance and leadership to a team of Purchasing & Design Specialists.
β’ Ensure the effective execution of Travel and Events budgets, proposals, and contracts.
β’ Develop and mentor team members to foster career advancement and growth.
β’ Plan and oversee staffing and workload, ensuring accountability for deliverables.
β’ Engage in hiring decisions.
β’ Train direct reports on departmental processes and position expectations.
β’ Offer performance feedback through regular one-on-one meetings.
β’ Supervise project work and team engagement in Client Playbooks.
β’ Collaborate with Client Services to enhance operational excellence and growth.
β’ Attend proposal kick-off and transition meetings.
β’ Conduct file reviews during transition to Event Management.
β’ Monitor proposal timelines and deliverables.
β’ Review proposal budgets against program agendas.
β’ Assist with pricing standards and profitability analysis.
β’ Review and approve budgets and proformas.
β’ Evaluate client and supplier contracts.
β’ Ensure adherence to negotiated savings documentation.
β’ Take part in client presentations.
β’ Develop and sustain relationships with hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVBs.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
β’ A minimum of ten years of comprehensive meeting/incentive & event management experience.
β’ Expertise in client and supplier contracts.
β’ 2-3 years of experience in successfully delegating tasks and leading individuals/teams.
β’ High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
β’ Proven project management skills and financial acumen.
β’ Demonstrated capability to function effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
β’ Strong editing and writing abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
