This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a worldwide Operations Program Management team located in North America and Asia to create and launch new hardware products.
• Manage the complete operational execution of hardware product manufacturing from initial concept to mass production and ongoing volume.
• Act as the main operations point of contact, coordinating and communicating with Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Create detailed program plans, oversee schedules and budgets, and proactively address risks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Define and implement manufacturing strategies, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure factory readiness, capacity, and process development.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and maintain robust quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Advocate for and exemplify Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and into new offices.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred), Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline. A master's degree (MBA or MS) is advantageous.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in Operations Program Management, NPI, or similar roles within a hardware manufacturing context.
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team of a minimum of 4 individuals.
• Demonstrated success in launching multiple complex hardware products from concept to high-volume production, with a solid understanding of hardware development lifecycles and manufacturing processes.
• Expert-level knowledge of program/project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Confluence/JIRA). PMP certification is a plus.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the capability to influence and align diverse cross-functional teams.
• Highly analytical with a strong capacity to identify issues, analyze data, and devise effective solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners and supply chains, with a willingness to travel internationally as needed (up to 20%).
