This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of Oncology Germline Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), focusing on performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and scientific training.
• Implement the Medical Affairs Oncology Germline strategy through effective field leadership and collaboration with Medical Affairs leadership.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership in scientific, clinical, and business aspects of hereditary cancer genetic testing and oncology care, remaining updated on guidelines, literature, and market developments.
• Oversee the creation, review, and approval of medical content.
• Deliver and facilitate high-quality scientific and clinical presentations to healthcare professionals.
• Assist in the identification and engagement of regional and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and represent Myriad at medical congresses and scientific meetings.
• Manage the intake and coordination of research and evidence-generation requests through the appropriate Medical Affairs channels.
• Ensure that all field activities adhere to corporate policies and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Commercial Sales, Marketing, Product, Payer Markets, Clinical Development, and Research.
• Promote a culture of scientific excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
• An advanced scientific or clinical degree is required (e.g., MS in Genetic Counseling, NP/PA, RN with oncology genetics certification, or equivalent training).
• A minimum of 5 years of combined clinical, industry, or research experience, including at least 3 years in an MSL or related role; experience in a diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
• Experience in people management, leadership, or mentoring is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of hereditary cancer syndromes, genetic and diagnostic testing, and oncology management; molecular profiling experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to engage clinicians, KOLs, and academic partners with strong presentation and scientific communication skills.
• Capacity to function effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including occasional weekends for conferences or meetings.
• Competence in managing travel and expenses within budget constraints.
• Flexibility to accommodate business needs and changing priorities.
