Manager, Marketing Science & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee marketing science and analytics workstreams for existing clients, new business opportunities, and internal projects, managing initiatives from data collection and measurement to analysis, insights, and recommendations.

• Collaborate closely with clients and account teams to establish measurement goals, convert business inquiries into testable hypotheses, and formulate robust analytical strategies.

• Utilize statistical and data science techniques, including media mix modeling (MMM), regression analysis, causal inference, experimentation, geo-lift/DMA holdout testing, Bayesian methods, segmentation, forecasting, and optimization.

• Construct, interpret, and convey statistical models while transforming complex analyses into engaging, actionable narratives for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Employ Python and SQL to scrutinize data and create reproducible, well-documented analytical workflows.

• Design dashboards, visualizations, and other data products utilizing tools such as Tableau, Python visualization libraries, or Datorama.

• Oversee analytical delivery and execution in collaboration with external measurement and data partners.

• Act as a trusted authority in statistical and marketing science during client meetings, elucidating methodologies, findings, limitations, and recommendations.

• Guarantee that analytical work is statistically sound, reproducible, and adheres to XM’s quality standards.

• Lead and mentor Analysts and Data Scientists by offering guidance on prioritization, analytical approaches, coding practices, and professional growth.

• Keep Directors and account teams updated on project progress, risks, and critical decisions, escalating issues and seeking senior support when necessary.

• Enhance Redbox’s marketing science and data science capabilities through training, thought leadership, technical content, and innovative methodologies.

• Engage in team and agency initiatives, including talent development, recruiting, vendor management, and departmental planning.

• Remain informed about emerging statistical, data science, and marketing measurement techniques.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing science, statistics, econometrics, data science, or another quantitative field; experience in media or advertising is advantageous.

• Solid grounding in statistics along with hands-on experience applying analytical methods to real-world business scenarios.

• Proficient in Python, with experience using tools such as pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn, PyMC, Meridian, or similar.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience dealing with large or complex datasets; experience with cloud data warehouses is preferred.

• Familiarity with marketing measurement methodologies, including MMM, incrementality, experimentation, causal inference, or related techniques.

• Capability to independently oversee analytical workstreams and client relationships while recognizing when to engage senior leadership.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in managing, mentoring, or developing junior team members.

• Curiosity, sound analytical judgment, strong attention to detail, and a dedication to continuous learning.

• Ability to excel in a collaborative and dynamic environment, comfortably navigating between client work, new business, and internal initiatives.
