This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create and implement innovative, tailored consumer marketing campaigns for designated titles across various genres.
• Design advertising initiatives and work collaboratively on ad copy, creative vision, vendor engagement, and budget management.
• Develop influencer marketing strategies, encompassing book mailings, influencer packages, paid and organic partnerships, book club outreach, and sweepstakes.
• Oversee early reading initiatives on Goodreads and NetGalley to enhance reviews and ratings while boosting sales.
• Coordinate both organic and paid promotional activities across Flatiron Books’ social media platforms in collaboration with the Marketing Assistant.
• Participate in weekly marketing and title-specific discussions with authors and agents.
• Plan and implement trade marketing campaigns, including mailings to booksellers and outreach to bookstore and library book clubs.
• Support the Macmillan Events team during trade shows and collaborate with the Macmillan Library Marketing team.
• Manage sales resources such as in-store merchandising materials, signage, sell sheets, promotional graphics, preorder incentives, kits, Edelweiss assets, and account-specific requests.
• Communicate marketing strategies to the sales team during bi-weekly sales meetings, sales conferences, and as required.
• Maintain budgets for the assigned titles.
• Share insights from influencer and advertising programs during title-specific post-mortem meetings.
• Evaluate campaign outcomes and advertising reports to guide current and future marketing efforts.
• Regularly update authors and agents on campaign progress.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing abilities.
• Strong understanding of influencer dynamics and advertising strategies across diverse adult readerships.
• Capability to engage consumer readers effectively.
• Results-driven, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently.
• Outstanding organizational abilities with the skill to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in assessing campaigns and adjusting strategy and execution as needed.
• High energy, creativity, and enthusiasm for a wide range of book genres.
• Over 5 years of marketing experience within the trade book publishing sector.
• College degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Basic skills in InDesign, Canva, and Photoshop.
• Photography skills are an asset.
• Familiarity with Google Business Suite.
