This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.
• Act as the main reimbursement authority providing support to the field regarding the reimbursement of Arthrex products.
• Collaborate with the Director of Market Access and Reimbursement on company strategies and initiatives related to field reimbursement.
• Train and educate the Sales team and agencies on US reimbursement processes, including coding, coverage, payment, and contracting.
• Work alongside Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Regulatory teams to create tools for customers, economic models, and reimbursement strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to organize and prioritize customer visits while delivering educational and value-driven messages.
• Formulate and execute reimbursement, market access, and value-oriented strategies to enhance patient access.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local physician advocates for interactions with payers and intermediaries.
• Ensure compliance within the functional area while supporting the organization's compliance goals.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare delivery and/or administration, a healthcare insurance plan, or the medical device sector.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Experience with orthopedic medical devices is preferred but not essential.
• Previous field reimbursement experience in the medical device industry is advantageous but not required.
• Certification as a Professional Coder is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical device billing and coding, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
• In-depth understanding of payer coverage requirements, prior authorization, claim submission, adjudication, and appeals processes.
• Familiarity with US healthcare policy, payment systems, and contracting methods, including Medicare and commercial payers.
• Knowledge of various service settings including inpatient, outpatient, physician offices, and ASC/HOPD.
• Proficient in training sales team members on coding, coverage, reimbursement, and contracting concepts.
• Proven ability to establish and manage priorities while handling multiple projects.
• Capability to work effectively amidst ambiguity and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating in both functional and cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service orientation alongside excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proficient in working independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated account management and customer service skills, including experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
• Proficient in computer use, including remote connectivity and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. by plane, train, or vehicle.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, analytics, and business intelligence software.
