This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Assist the Market Access and Reimbursement team in linking patients, providers, and payors to guarantee access to Arthrex technologies and products.
• Act as the primary reimbursement authority supporting the field on reimbursement matters related to Arthrex products.
• Collaborate with the Director of Market Access and Reimbursement on field reimbursement initiatives, healthcare provider engagement, support, and communication.
• Provide education and training to Sales teams and agencies on U.S. reimbursement processes, including coding, coverage, payment, and contracting.
• Work alongside Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Regulatory teams to foresee market demands and create customer-facing tools, economic models, and reimbursement strategies.
• Team up with Sales leadership to organize and prioritize customer visits, offer education, and communicate value-based messages.
• Formulate and execute reimbursement, market access, and value-driven strategies that align with commercial goals.
• Build relationships with local physician advocates to facilitate interactions with payers and intermediaries.
• Ensure compliance within functional areas and support organizational compliance objectives.
• Travel across the U.S., up to 40% of the time.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare delivery/administration, a healthcare insurance plan, or the medical device sector.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications is advantageous.
• Experience in orthopedic medical devices is preferred but not essential.
• Prior experience in field reimbursement for medical devices is beneficial but not a requirement.
• Certification as a Professional Coder is a bonus.
• In-depth knowledge of medical device billing and coding, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
• Comprehensive understanding of payer coverage requirements, prior authorization, claim submission, adjudication, and appeals.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare policy, payment systems, and contracting methods, including Medicare and commercial payers.
• Insight into inpatient, outpatient, physician office, and ASC/HOPD service sites.
• Capability to train sales team members on coding, coverage, reimbursement, and contracting principles.
• Proficient in setting and managing priorities across multiple projects.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt in a swiftly changing environment.
• Experience in working with both functional and cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal capabilities, including relationship building and influencing business goals.
• Skilled in prioritizing and executing multiple workstreams with various stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in account management and customer service, including CRM tools like Salesforce.
• Proficient in computer skills, including remote connectivity and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. via plane, train, or vehicle.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and analytics/business intelligence software.
