This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Provide education and training to Arthrex’s Sales team and agencies regarding US reimbursement, encompassing coding, coverage, payment, and contracting.
• Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Regulatory teams to create customer-facing tools, economic models, and reimbursement materials.
• Partner with Sales leadership to strategize and prioritize customer visits while delivering educational and value-driven messages.
• Formulate and execute reimbursement, market access, and value-based strategies that align with commercial goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with local physician champions to facilitate interactions with payers and intermediaries.
• Act as the primary reimbursement authority supporting the field.
• Assist the Director of Market Access and Reimbursement with field reimbursement initiatives, healthcare provider engagement, support, and communication.
• Ensure compliance within the functional area and contribute to organizational compliance objectives.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare delivery and/or administration, a healthcare insurance plan, or the medical device industry.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Experience in orthopedic medical devices is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous field reimbursement experience in medical devices is advantageous but not required.
• Certification as a Professional Coder is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of medical device billing and coding, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
• Comprehensive understanding of payer coverage requirements, prior authorization, claim submission, adjudication, and appeals processes.
• Familiarity with US healthcare policy, payment systems, and contracting methodologies involving Medicare and commercial payers.
• Awareness of inpatient and outpatient services, physician offices, and ASC/HOPD sites of service.
• Capability to train sales team members on coding, coverage, reimbursement, and contracting concepts.
• Proficient in setting and managing priorities while handling multiple projects.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adjust in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within functional and cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Aptitude for prioritizing and executing multiple workstreams in a dynamic setting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in account management and customer service, including using CRM systems like Salesforce.
• Proficient in computer skills, including remote connectivity and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and leading analytics and business intelligence software.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. via plane, train, or vehicle.
