This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Managing overall accounting operations
• Ensuring adherence to contractual commitments
• Leading various special initiatives
• Preparing and assessing cash movements across different entities
• Conducting reconciliations of bank statements
• Overseeing accounting for repurchase transactions
• Training, documenting, and implementing loan and pool accounting procedures
• Reviewing analyses to ascertain necessary daily cash movements by legal entity
• Documenting accounting practices per GAAP standards
• Identifying and proposing efficiencies to enhance scalable operations
• Assessing financial risks and establishing controls to mitigate them
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in progressively responsible positions is necessary
• At least 2 years of experience in people management is essential
• CPA certification is required
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected
• Capability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
