This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +4 more states.
• Identifies and suggests strategies to meet current and future Labor Relations and business requirements.
• Engages in projects aimed at developing best practices for workforce experience and recommends new or modified programs and policies to better align with organizational needs.
• Develops, oversees, and reports on key metrics that bolster the company’s proactive labor relations strategies.
• Recognizes training requirements and creates training materials for various delivery methods (both virtual and in-person).
• Provides leadership in Labor Relations by ensuring adherence to company policies and practices, as well as federal, state, and local laws; addresses field inquiries and directs resources to assist or expedite issue resolution.
• Manages all facets of any union organizing activities, encompassing communications, campaigns, and risk mitigation strategies, which includes coaching leaders, evaluating risks, facilitating meetings, and consulting with legal experts.
• Conducts intricate and sensitive investigations and mitigates risks by ensuring compliance with EEOC, DOL, and NLRB regulations.
• Provides both formal and informal training for front-line leaders, serving as an advocate and trusted advisor to front-line supervisors and managers.
• Ensures the timely and professional resolution of all outstanding issues through appropriate leadership accountability.
• Exhibits a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in HR and/or Labor Relations.
• Holds extensive knowledge of labor relations throughout the US and Canada, with significant expertise in proactive labor relations strategies and risk management.
• Capable of understanding and applying federal laws related to employee and labor relations, including but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC case rulings.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze laws pertaining to the NLRB (US) and the Department of Labour/Ministry of Labour (Canada) is advantageous.
• Proficient in communicating and presenting effectively to all organizational levels, particularly to front-line leadership, non-exempt employee groups, and senior management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides is a plus.
