This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Oversee the Investor reporting function.
• Review and approve investor reports.
• Assess investor remittances for accuracy and timeliness to prevent potential penalties.
• Monitor and support the monthly reporting process for Agency and Private Investors.
• Manage the reconciliations related to loan boarding and service-released loans.
• Direct pre and post-boarding and reconciliation activities concerning principal balances, ensuring alignment of boarding balances with trial balances, and addressing any variances.
• Supervise the reconciliations of service-released loans, deliver settlement files, remit funds to the purchaser, and request reimbursement for negative remittances from the purchaser.
• Stay updated on new regulations: remain informed about changes in investor, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to Investor Accounting.
• Coordinate and review regulatory changes with management to ensure the development and adherence to appropriate procedures.
• Engage in special projects within the department.
• Provide support for internal and external audit requests, ensuring adequate information and related audits are available.
• Evaluate the annual performance reviews of team members.
• Develop, assess, and monitor compliance with controls and policies/procedures within the area of responsibility.
• Oversee intra-quality control initiatives and address any findings as necessary.
• Execute audit examinations in collaboration with both internal and external business partners.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with Selene’s internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Lead the department to ensure performance standards are upheld, while consistently providing coaching and feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-10 years of relevant experience in a mortgage loan servicing management role with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record of building effective teams and achieving desired outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities required.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Solid organizational capabilities, particularly in meeting project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks while working autonomously or within a team setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to excel in high-pressure, ambiguous environments with quick turnaround times.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior analytical and research capabilities.
• Proficient in utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to effectively collaborate with various departments, management, and vendor representatives.
