This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee and guide the daily execution of contract obligations to ensure fulfillment of cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• May lead or assist in all meetings and integrated product and/or project teams from initiation to project completion.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with both internal and external clients regarding matters related to ongoing contracts.
• Actively participate as a team member or leader in bid and proposal initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with request for proposal requirements during the preparation and documentation of bids and proposals for current clients.
• May proactively pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with Business Development.
• May serve as a management representative at program reviews, meetings, seminars, and other relevant events.
• Prepare for and engage in contract/subcontract negotiations.
• While advocating for the Company's interests, ensure adherence to all applicable government regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and execute plans and schedules for contract/subcontract fulfillment.
• Allocate and manage contract budgets for labor, materials, travel, and purchased services.
• Regularly update senior management on program status.
• Formally identify, evaluate, monitor, and mitigate risks throughout the program's life cycle.
• Obtain management approval before making decisions that could adversely affect established program, cost, and schedule objectives.
• May be tasked with ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution of materials for a specific business area.
• May collaborate with various project teams on multiple tasks.
• Notify and seek assistance from senior management to resolve schedule and budget challenges as they arise.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are identified.
• Conduct variance analysis of schedules and costs both formally and informally, presenting findings to senior management (i.e., earned value management system).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or Business is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience based on the job discipline.
• Familiarity with program management tools and procedures.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Experience with the program lifecycle or components of development through sustainment, including proposal development, requirements decomposition, system and subsystem statement of work generation, subcontracts, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts, including cost reduction and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Knowledge of earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for evaluating and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis.
• Exposure to finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
• Excellent skills in customer interaction, problem-solving, communication, and presentation.
• Experience in managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget oversight.
• Capability to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor for domestic or foreign military entities.
• Program Management certification preferred (e.g., PMP or DAU).
• U.S. Citizenship is required. This position necessitates an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable timeframe after starting employment.
