This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with regional retail leadership teams and client groups to cultivate a high-performance culture.
• Offer strategic HR advice in alignment with business goals, workforce planning, talent strategies, and organizational effectiveness.
• Counsel assigned client groups on enterprise and retail people programs, as well as yearly HR processes.
• Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations, performance management, risk mitigation, and complex personnel matters.
• Ensure adherence to employment legislation, company policies, HR best practices, and relevant collective agreements.
• Convert business strategies, market trends, and operational priorities into actionable people plans and organizational solutions.
• Utilize people analytics, business insights, and workforce trends to pinpoint opportunities and risks.
• Establish employee engagement objectives and develop action-planning strategies.
• Conduct sensitive investigations with professionalism and discretion.
• Design and execute organizational changes, talent strategies, engagement initiatives, and communication plans.
• Collaborate on talent acquisition, succession planning, development planning, and retention strategies.
• Act as a liaison between the business, HR teams, and Centres of Excellence.
• Work with HR Centres of Excellence to implement and embed people programs, policies, processes, and initiatives.
• Assist with staffing, onboarding, talent planning, performance and potential processes, succession planning, and career planning.
• Support annual merit and bonus cycles, equity assessments, and compensation recommendations.
• Promote continuous improvement in people practices, processes, systems, and methodologies.
• Report to the Director of Human Resources – Retail.
• MUST RESIDE IN CALGARY OR EDMONTON.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an HR business partner or generalist role, primarily in a multi-site or retail setting.
• Post-secondary education in HR, business, or a related field.
• CHRL or a similar HR professional designation is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex employee and labor relations issues.
• Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation.
• Robust business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Expertise in cultural engagement with a focus on operational excellence.
• Proven capability to identify and address problems efficiently.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Previous experience with UKG (HRIS) is an asset.
• Ability to travel independently up to 25% across assigned regions, including some overnight travel within the Canadian market.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Occasional travel to Indigo Home Office in Toronto, Ontario.
• Access to a private and consistent home office environment suitable for confidential remote work.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.
