This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +10 more states.
β’ Take charge of managing human resources and payroll across various industries and company sizes.
β’ Offer HR and payroll assistance to clients.
β’ Oversee HRIS and Payroll implementations for clients.
β’ Act as an internal expert on clients' HR technology stacks, ensuring platforms are configured, integrated, compliant, and optimized.
β’ Manage comprehensive payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across relevant states.
β’ Handle payroll calendars, tax filings, garnishments, and off-cycle runs.
β’ Address payroll discrepancies and audits as needed.
β’ Administer and sustain core HRIS platforms, including workflows, permissions, and data integrity.
β’ Oversee integrations among HRIS, performance, payroll, benefits, and downstream tools.
β’ Lead client configurations for new payroll and HCM systems, manage change, roll out modules, and upgrade systems.
β’ Develop and uphold automated workflows to minimize manual HR tasks.
β’ Convert process requirements into system designs in collaboration with People team leaders.
β’ Maintain HR data integrity, reporting, and readiness for audits.
β’ Ensure payroll and HRIS practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
β’ Provide dashboards and reporting to support workforce planning and OKRs.
β’ Enhance HR processes, policies, and systems for greater efficiency and compliance.
β’ Implement onboarding, employee relations, and policy development practices.
β’ Provide guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
β’ Over 5 years of experience managing payroll and HRIS/HCM systems.
β’ Background as an HR Generalist or HRBP with extensive exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.
β’ Proven experience working directly with clients in consulting, professional services, PEOs, or agencies.
β’ Required hands-on administrative experience with a core HRIS and Payroll platform (e.g., HiBob, Dayforce, and/or Rippling).
β’ In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, tax, and wage/hour regulations.
β’ Strong systems thinking capabilities with the ability to independently troubleshoot integrations.
β’ Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and advisory abilities.
β’ Comfort in a lean, fast-scaling environment with high expectations for ownership.
β’ Generalist across livingHR's focus areas (tech, payroll, innovation, people analytics, operations, people, and culture), with proficient data storytelling skills.
β’ Client and project management expertise; responsible for relationships, deadlines, and end-to-end delivery.
β’ Facilitation skills; confidently leads implementation workshops and stakeholder sessions.
β’ Innovative mindset; explores ways to scale work and enhance processes.
β’ Ability to work remotely from any of the specified states: Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Texas.
β’ Remote-first work model (Work from Where it Makes Sense β WfWiMS).
β’ Contract consultants engaged on a project-by-project basis.
