This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Embody and promote the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within yourself and your team.
• Manage relationships and repair processes with PetSmart through established escalation paths.
• Supervise landlord-mandated repairs to guarantee compliance with lease agreements and proper communication of repair notices.
• Identify and coordinate strategies for long-term capital equipment and facility asset repairs and replacements.
• Develop, assess, and report on team objectives and associated projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Oversee all facets of Patch and Paint projects, Re-lamps, Ceramic Tile Maintenance, Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance, and other necessary initiatives.
• Conduct interviews, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate a regionally-focused team.
• Manage, evaluate, and report on all repair activities, including timelines for work completion, expenditures, and compliance with protocols.
• Create work schedules aimed at maximizing cost efficiencies.
• Oversee the ordering of equipment and materials, as well as the invoicing and credit processing for accepted bids.
• Ensure that hospital repair work adheres to building codes and meets internal quality standards for repairs.
• Develop, comprehend, and convey the scope of work for all facility repairs; establish procedures for future projects.
• Source, select, and supervise painting contractors to execute all painting tasks within the region according to practice standards.
• Manage and report on the budget, track expenses, and approve invoices and travel expense reports.
• Perform additional job duties as needed.
• A minimum of five years of experience in Facilities Management, Construction, Architecture, or Engineering is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a leadership role with a minimum of three direct reports is required.
• Proficient knowledge of drywall repair, painting, cabinetry, electrical work, plumbing, general building construction, and vinyl/tile flooring installation/repair, including familiarity with the necessary tools to perform these tasks, is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of current building codes and regulations, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, is essential.
