This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +10 more states.
• Manages the department to ensure effective performance, which may include, but is not limited to, recruiting and training team members, developing and executing business strategies, overseeing team performance, and assigning tasks.
• Ensures technical precision and submits project plans to management for evaluation and approval.
• Conducts thorough applicant behavioral interviews and provides hiring recommendations to the applications leadership.
• Ensures the Applications team proficiently develops, demonstrates, and maintains the use of project management software and tools.
• Conducts staff orientations and offers coaching, mentoring, and training as needed. Collaborates closely with leadership to provide insights on staff performance.
• Ensures the Applications team comprehends and follows the project implementation and problem resolution priorities established by Epic standards and Information Technology (IT) department policies. Works with IT and purchasing resources to make purchasing recommendations.
• Guarantees that the Applications team communicates positively and meaningfully with other Applications teams, IT management, and end-users regarding the status of issues, current tasks, and project priorities.
• Analyzes progress against plans and evaluates results against goals.
• Guides and assists the Applications team in formulating logical, detailed project plans that encompass tasks, implementation timelines, resource allocation, and potential cost estimates along with cost/benefit analysis.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree)
• Experience: 5 years of project management experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including management experience and experience in a hospital setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic Willow Inpatient / Willow Ambulatory Certification
