This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the fulfillment of wishes related to celebrities and sports, serving as the primary liaison between Make-A-Wish chapters and talent representatives, such as agents, publicists, and team PR managers.
• Provides exceptional customer service to Make-A-Wish chapters and international affiliates, ensuring all logistics are managed with empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness.
• Coordinates various aspects of wish experiences, including scheduling, communication with talent, onsite support as needed, and contingency planning.
• Develops and nurtures relationships with key contacts in entertainment and sports to facilitate ongoing and future wish opportunities.
• Customizes wish experiences to meet the unique needs and preferences of each wish child and their family, paying close attention to medical, mobility, or scheduling considerations.
• Directs cross-functional planning and logistics for wishes that involve athletes, celebrities, influencers, or media properties, ensuring alignment with Make-A-Wish brand values.
• Maintains and updates Salesforce CRM records, tracking wish statuses, follow-ups, and industry engagement; creates reports to aid in planning and managing workload.
• Participates in select events and wish experiences, offering onsite support and relationship management as appropriate; identifies and engages local volunteers when travel is not practical.
• Works with internal and external teams to collect stories and visuals from wish experiences for potential media and promotional purposes, securing all necessary approvals and releases.
• Establishes and updates a database of celebrity and talent contact profiles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Planning, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of total professional experience is necessary.
• At least 3 years of specialized experience in the sports, entertainment, event production, or talent management sectors.
• Demonstrated project management experience and responsibilities.
• Experience working within or alongside nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and excel in a remote-first environment while collaborating with a mission-driven team.
