This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee a skilled team of engineers, serving as their technical mentor and career advisor.
• Create and uphold the strategic roadmap for enterprise application and integration architecture.
• Function as the main technical consultant and liaison for business leaders, translating their requirements into technology solutions.
• Manage vendor partnerships, software licenses, and budgets related to your application suite.
• Administer the complete Google Workspace ecosystem, defining, configuring, and enforcing policies.
• Direct the architecture and management of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Design, establish, and oversee a SaaS Management Platform (SMP).
• Act as the principal architect for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program.
• Promote an "automation-first" culture.
• Architect, develop, and sustain robust integrations among core business systems.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• More than 7 years of experience in Enterprise Systems or Application Engineering, with a clear emphasis on automation and integration. At least 3 years in a people management or technical leadership role.
• Extensive architectural and administrative experience with Google Workspace in a large-scale (1000+ users) setting.
• Significant architectural and administrative experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence), with the capability to design and implement intricate workflows for both technical and business teams.
• Expert, hands-on architectural experience with Okta (or a comparable major IdP), with a comprehensive understanding of Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management (SCIM), complex policy creation, and SAML/OIDC integrations.
• Architectural and administrative experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a large-scale (1000+ users) environment.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and managing integrations; comfortable with REST APIs and demonstrable experience in automating IT processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• A strategic thinker capable of linking IT initiatives to business outcomes such as revenue growth, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
• Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical executives and stakeholders.
