Manager, Engineering – Subscription Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams, utilizing a range of qualitative and quantitative tools to investigate Growth opportunities across our mobile and web applications.

• Work in tandem with the team to ensure robust technical decision-making is rooted in product context, positioning us for ongoing success in executing new growth and monetization strategies.

• Adopt a hands-on approach to delivery management, guaranteeing a healthy backlog, scheduling maintenance and technical debt work, and appropriately breaking down tasks in a timely fashion.

• Mentor and develop your team, focusing on individual growth while prioritizing overall team well-being.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in leading engineering teams in close collaboration with Product and Design, working iteratively with a strong emphasis on customer outcomes.

• A strong analytical mindset and comfort with navigating complex A/B testing and data attribution challenges, preferably within a Growth context.

• Proven experience in building highly available third-party integrations that handle high-volume data, ideally within a subscription setting.

• Experience in leading consumer-facing development projects targeting native applications using iterative, learning-focused agile methodologies.

• Strong technical and product judgment: able to frame engineering investments as business outcomes and integrate that perspective into cross-functional planning and roadmap discussions.

• Experience in cultivating high-trust engineering teams through mentorship and coaching, establishing clear goals, context, and decision-making frameworks while empowering engineers to take ownership of technical execution and trade-off discussions.

• Familiarity with common software engineering patterns and best practices: you've worked with high-traffic mobile applications and understand how to build for scalability while balancing speed, quality, and safety.
