📋 Description

• Define and drive the strategy for AI tailored to developers.

• Collaborate with Staff and Senior Staff engineers on architectural decisions and product direction.

• Remain informed about the changing landscape of AI tools while balancing innovation with measurable impacts on developers.

• Advocate, mentor, and provide guidance to teams and leaders throughout the organization in adopting new AI capabilities.

• Build and maintain relationships with partner teams and stakeholders, creating effective working agreements.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to the team with an empathetic approach.

• Contribute positively to the culture and processes of the broader organization.

• Develop essential AI tools and infrastructure to enhance developer productivity, which includes agentic coding tools, asynchronous AI workflow platforms, SDKs for internal AI application development, and AI-assisted code migration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a full-time manager.

• Proven experience in supporting and coaching Staff+ and Senior engineers.

• Experience managing a remote or distributed team.

• Background in creating developer infrastructure, tooling, or platforms, preferably at scale, utilizing industry-standard tools, frameworks, or systems.

• Experience in applying AI technologies to tackle real-world software development challenges.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new domains, technologies, or programming languages.

• Proven success in cross-functional partnerships.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
