Manager, Employee Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, providing client-oriented legal, human resources, and advisory assistance.

• Collaborate closely with Operations teams to ensure smooth cooperation and high-quality results for clients.

• Lead and mentor a team of Employee Lifecycle Specialists, offering hands-on coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.

• Manage voluntary and involuntary terminations across various countries, including handling complex and sensitive cases.

• Support and guide the team in delivering first-level employee relations assistance to clients.

• Personally handle and advise on intricate employee lifecycle and employee relations matters to ensure top-tier service.

• Advocate for a client-centric approach, consistently enhancing quality, consistency, and professionalism.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Human Resources, Operations, and/or Employee Relations roles, including experience as a People Manager.

• Preferred qualifications include higher education degrees in HR, labor relations, or employment law; a strong requirement for this role is advanced knowledge across various HR functions, such as business partnering, employee relations, performance management, and a comprehensive understanding of local employment laws.

• Proven experience and knowledge of global HR practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple countries, with significant exposure to complex involuntary employee exits and employee relations issues.

• Familiarity with progressive discipline processes, workplace investigation principles, and effective management of employee relations resources.

• Demonstrated success in leadership awareness, team engagement, and achieving goals through effective communication, influencing, and relationship-building abilities within a culturally diverse and distributed team.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that navigate potential cultural and language barriers, coupled with strong emotional intelligence, and the capacity to build trust and rapport, influencing senior leaders, management, clients, and employees at all organizational levels.

• Outstanding verbal, analytical, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

• Proven ability to anticipate, identify, understand, and analyze complex business and cultural issues, managing them to resolution, and translating them into critical business strategies and initiatives.
