Manager, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of data scientists in their performance, growth, production, and daily responsibilities.

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to align priorities, influence strategies, and execute a shared vision.

• Analyze, query, and summarize extensive and intricate datasets to inform business strategy and decision-making.

• Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques to address business challenges.

• Assist in the development and scaling of both internal and user-facing data products.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to convert business processes and challenges into manageable data science problems.

• Track the performance of implemented solutions and conduct regular evaluations to identify areas for enhancement.

• Generate simulations, experiments, and what-if analyses to aid strategic decision-making.

• Produce and compile reports essential for supporting the team and senior leadership in monitoring strategic objectives and outcomes.

• Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, simplifying complex concepts into actionable insights.

• Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices, standards, and processes within the Data Science organization.

• Represent and embody the culture and mission of the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

• 2 years of experience in management and administration.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and ElasticSearch.

• Understanding of Statistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and machine learning.
