Manager, Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a regional delivery team as Smartsheet transitions from effort-based implementation to AI-driven, value-oriented advisory services.

• Conduct interviews, hire, and mentor consultants with expertise in strategic stakeholder alignment, AI, and adoption-focused skill sets.

• Promote experimentation, AI solution testing, knowledge sharing, and adaptation to changing delivery methodologies.

• Collaborate with Sales and GTM leaders to enhance regional service bookings, train partners, and facilitate strategic account growth.

• Engage with customers to identify their evolving needs, shape future service offerings, and manage customer escalations.

• Maintain billable targets for involvement in strategic projects.

• Oversee team fiscal health, performance targets/KPIs, and ensure the accuracy of PSA tool data.

• Implement the shift to an AI-Native Professional Services model and modernize tools and methodologies.

• Convert company objectives and industry trends into actionable priorities for the team.

• Collaborate with the Resource Management Office to align consultant skills and capacity with available project opportunities.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SaaS Professional Services, including navigating business pivots or disruptive technology changes.

• 2+ years of experience leading high-performing individual-contributor teams, either formally or in a project management capacity.

• Proven experience in designing, selling, and delivering solutions within a SaaS Professional Services framework.

• Ability to develop insights on industry trends and anticipate the impact of AI on customer needs.

• High emotional intelligence and strong change leadership capabilities.

• Excellent client management skills in both pre-sales and post-sales environments.

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate influential relationships with sales and customer success teams.

• Proficient in utilizing customer-organization insight frameworks and advanced problem-solving techniques.

• Experience in applying change management, business process optimization, and AI strategies.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 40% of the time.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education (minimum of 7 years).
