This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Define the requirements for secure, reliable, cost-efficient, and high-performance cloud environments for CORA Legal Group's cloud products.
• Oversee the production deployment of cloud applications and services for CORA Legal Group.
• Set priorities and provide guidance for members of the Cloud Operations team.
• Collaborate with R&D management at BEC and RBRO to develop monitoring and alerting platforms based on mutually agreed upon KPIs.
• Ensure that cloud systems are backed up, highly available, well-documented, and secure.
• Collect baseline performance data and establish corresponding alerting systems.
• In partnership with R&D management at BEC and RBRO, develop chains of custody and reporting/handoff processes for bugs and incidents.
• Collaborate with CORA Legal Group leadership to maintain current SOC2 certifications and ensure ongoing compliance with SOC2 standards.
• Create cloud security protocols; conduct regular risk assessments and oversee routine penetration testing.
• Proactively devise and test remediation strategies for potential issues.
• Continuously explore ways to streamline and enhance processes and capabilities using suitable AI tools.
• Maintain ongoing communication regarding status and swiftly escalate issues to the relevant team and departmental leaders.
• Serve as an advocate for the Cloud Operations staff by identifying growth opportunities and recommending promotions.
• Foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement within the Cloud Operations organization.
• Proven success in managing cloud architecture, particularly with Azure and AWS.
• Extensive experience in leading a team responsible for overseeing production cloud environments; strong team-building capabilities.
• Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on knowledge of technology infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, and virtualization/containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of the architectural principles governing cloud-based platforms (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS).
• Significant experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI technologies, including utilizing AI tools to create and manage CI/CD pipelines and improve reporting/monitoring capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of common software and application vulnerabilities, along with the ability and judgment to make prompt decisions to mitigate risk and impact.
• Expertise in automating infrastructure, configuration, and deployments.
• Substantial experience with Application Performance Monitoring platforms such as New Relic or Datadog.
• Familiarity with modern programming or scripting languages (Python, Go, C#, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.).
• Strong interest in DevOps methodologies and technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, etc.).
