This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all accounting functions related to the complete cycle of cloud accounting engagements.
• Assist with the establishment of client files, budget completion, and administrative planning.
• Supervise and ensure the quality of cloud accounting engagements while addressing technology-related issues.
• Manage reconciliations of general ledger accounts, which include cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions, and POS/system uploads.
• Detect issues and inaccuracies, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with engagement partners to develop solutions.
• Guide and support the onboarding of new clients while fostering trusted advisory relationships.
• Maintain expertise in cloud accounting software and provide assistance to clients and team members.
• Oversee and evaluate the workloads of bookkeepers, focusing on task allocation and procedural efficiency.
• Engage with the local professional and business community, taking a leadership role in networking.
• Enhance awareness of MNP and identify opportunities for business development.
• Suggest, implement, and recognize strategies for improving work processes.
• Manage engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, including budgets, work-in-progress (WIPs), timely billing, collections, and variance recognition.
• Develop, mentor, and train team members.
• Be prepared to travel as needed.
• A certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is advantageous.
• Certification in QuickBooks Online Advanced and Xero is desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and processes.
• Experience with cloud-based software is preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in people management, relationship building, and leadership.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
