Cost Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create cost estimates for manufactured goods to assist the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams for designated plants.

• Complete component setup for assigned facilities, which includes calculating overhead for finished products, maintaining systems, and finalizing Pre-Production worksheets.

• Engage in the annual budgeting process by updating overhead cost drivers, offering year-over-year comparisons and analyses, and collaborating with plants to complete budget templates.

• Assist with projects assigned by the Manager or Director of Cost Accounting, which involve cost analysis, preparation for JDE product costing implementation, and maintaining master data files.

• Update the standard cost of purchased finished goods on a quarterly basis.

• Update branch transfer rates and execute monthly cost rolls for each assigned plant.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, primarily focused on Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience (5+ years in a related field).

• At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting.

• Experience in manufacturing across any industry.

• Background in manufacturing, preferably within the food or processing sectors.

• Familiarity with AS400, JDE, and Oracle is preferred.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Experience with Bills of Materials, as well as Fixed and Variable Overhead.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Manufacturing and Operations.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook).

• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, customer service, and organizational skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills are essential.
