This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conducts thorough and sometimes complex evaluations of strategic opportunities and initiatives for cost savings.
• Records and conveys recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate critical decision-making.
• Plays a pivotal role in defining vendor or IT system requirements and designing process enhancement initiatives.
• May perform peer reviews of work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Engages in the definition of PMO best practices and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Builds relationships with business users to comprehend their processes and identify problem areas.
• Creates visual representations of current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) scenarios to enhance communication with both business and senior management, aiming to optimize processes and enable automation where feasible.
• Capable of quantifying the workload, pinpointing key stakeholders, and estimating potential benefits for consideration by senior management.
• Gathers precise, detailed, and comprehensive requirements from a diverse range of business users.
• Documents and organizes requirements in a manner that is clear to the business, developers, and testing teams.
• Assists in requirements planning and evaluates the level of effort involved.
• May support discussions on technical feasibility, prototype development, and the design of efficient, adaptable, and scalable solutions.
• Identifies specific proof of concepts that can be developed to aid the understanding of the effort needed for full implementation.
• Aids in evaluating vendor/IT proposals and identifying gaps to facilitate informed decision-making within the business.
• Supports PMO and business leadership in comprehending complex initiatives and solutions.
• Collaborates with the broader PMO team to identify enhancements to practices for potential adoption across the group.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent and relevant academic/vocational qualification.
• Prior experience that equips the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the role (approximately 7+ years).
• Over 3 years in a senior business analysis position.
• Demonstrated business analysis capabilities.
• Experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in process improvement and strategic development, particularly in relation to clinical trials, clinical development, and project management.
• Technical and systems proficiency, including effective use of applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with requirements management systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar is a plus.
• Proven adaptability and ability to effectively prioritize workload with leadership support.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, along with the capability to apply critical and analytical strategic thinking to navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and experienced in risk identification.
