This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Supervise the calculation, validation, reconciliation, and disbursement of broker commissions across various products and markets.
• Maintain and update commission structures and rate tables within the relevant systems.
• Ensure adherence to contractual agreements, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
• Manage monthly and ad hoc commission cycles, including the handling of exceptions.
• Investigate and resolve any disputes related to commissions.
• Develop and uphold processes and documentation that are ready for audit review.
• Provide support to sales teams through reporting, analytics, dashboards, KPIs, and operational processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting on commission accruals, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Analyze trends in commission expenses and offer insights to leadership.
• Ensure data integrity across CRM, commission, and financial platforms.
• Create and maintain reporting models to facilitate decision-making.
• Oversee commission and sales operations systems.
• Work with IT and vendors on system enhancements and tools.
• Lead automation projects and establish standard operating procedures.
• Act as a liaison between Finance, Compliance, and Sales departments.
• Assist in audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Train and guide internal teams on commission processes and tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• 5–8+ years of experience in sales operations, commissions management, or financial operations is necessary.
• A strong understanding of commission structures, incentive compensation, and sales processes is essential.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel skills is required.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is preferred.
• Ability to manage complex data sets and reconcile financial transactions is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are necessary.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365 is beneficial.
• Experience with SQL or business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Knowledge of broker/agent compensation models is advantageous.
• Prior experience in people management or team leadership is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining complex compensation structures clearly.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet tight deadlines is essential.
