This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the design and implementation of Astrana Health’s enterprise analytics roadmap, ensuring alignment with growth and value-based care goals.
• Spearhead the creation of scalable analytics solutions and business intelligence dashboards utilizing tools such as Databricks and Power BI.
• Establish and uphold robust data governance and development practices to guarantee data accuracy, compliance, and reliability.
• Develop tailored reports and dashboards for both functional and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units including Risk Adjustment and Quality to uncover analytical opportunities, convert business requirements into technical solutions, and provide insights with quantifiable effects.
• Facilitate the standardization and enhancement of reporting/analytics capabilities across various teams.
• Guide analysts and engineers, promoting technical excellence and a cooperative team atmosphere.
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations while effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Advocate for best practices in analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence development.
• Lead and mentor a team of analytics professionals focused on HEDIS quality measurement and Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) analytics.
• Manage the complete execution of critical deliverables: HEDIS measure calculation, gap-to-goal reporting, compliance rate optimization, and RAF accuracy analytics across various business lines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (Clinical Operations, Quality Improvement, Finance) to convert requirements into scalable analytic solutions and foster actionable insights.
• Implement quality assurance protocols and ensure data integrity for all reporting outputs.
• Enhance Star Ratings performance and risk score accuracy through advanced analytics and process improvements.
• Team up with Data Engineering and IT to upgrade data infrastructure, introduce new measures, and address source data quality challenges.
• Conduct performance evaluations and establish development goals to strengthen the team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, or a related field.
• Over 6 years of experience in data analytics and engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a technical lead or mentorship position.
• Proficient with modern data stacks such as Databricks, SQL, Azure, Power BI, and Python.
• Strong comprehension of value-based care analytics, risk adjustment, quality analytics (HEDIS), utilization management, finance, and claims.
• Experience with healthcare datasets and measures, including HCC, HEDIS, and clinical analytics.
• Capability to convert complex data into actionable insights for clinical and operational teams.
• Proven experience in managing quality improvement initiatives and member outreach programs aimed at closing care gaps.
• Strong understanding of EHR, claims, and supplemental data integration for quality reporting purposes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, working with providers, payers, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a talent for bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• This position is remote-based within the U.S.
• The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $160,000 - $170,000.
